Next Learning Weekend: November 5-7, 2016

  • Course 101: The Humanist Life Stance This pre-requisite course introduces students to in-depth critical thinking, analytic discussion and other methods of instruction that make THI a distinct program in Humanist Studies
  • Course 201: Critical Thinking, Knowledge & Truth What is the best way to prove a case, create a rule, solve a problem, justify an idea, invest a hypothesis or evaluate an argument?  In other words, what is the best way to think?  This course will look at thinking, knowledge and truth as reflective reasoning about beliefs and practices.  (Course 101: The Humanist Life Stance is a pre-requisite for this course)

Each course offered in November is a total of 3 instruction days starting on Saturday and ending Monday

Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm  •  Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm  •  Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

*Continental Breakfast and Lunch is provided daily and is included in the cost of the courses

*Minimum of 5 enrolled students is required to offer any course

  1. I am interested in taking some of your courses but cannot find where we would meet for the three day classes. As this has the potential to significantly add to the cost, it is something I need to know before enrolling.
